LIFE OF ENVEE – NEW RELEASES – REVIEW – ENVEE

Due for release on the 24th of this month, Nickrod Vatandoust’s new project Life Of Envee featuring Sam Richie is sure to turn a few heads.

Already receiving nation wide support on both community and commercial radio Envee’s first single Kinda Funny is a down tempo, minimalistic taste on contemporary Hip Hop that has a crossover appeal that conforms to a more pop orientated pallet.

Produced by Sam Antony who adds his own take on the millennial hip pop genre. He steers it more in keeping with his own influences, which include Childish Gambino & Amine with some tasty, experimental samples throughout.

The vocals itself drive the track, highlighting the story line and emotes an organic vibe and real flavours that pop end-to-end. The spacial awareness the song has as a whole leads the listener more into the story that Envee is trying to convey. The vocals used as a narrative in some cases, allowing that connection we get when hearing an honest piece of music.

Like many well loved songs the track itself was inspired by personal experiences that Life of Envee’s frontman Nickrod Vatandoust had previously endured and was written as an end goal to unite people and spread positivity to the world instead of hate.

Employing the power of music to promote emotional healing and awareness, Life of Envee’s latest track will no doubt strengthen a growing fan base and attract some serious radio play.

This fresh-cut Sydney based outfit is definitely an act to keep in the forefront of your mind. The full debut E.P Life of Envee is available later this year and by the looks of their first release it will be an absolute gem.
